Subject: RE: No tilling options

Bloomfield, KY.
I'll be the odd man out. I have run coulters since 1970. Over the years I have gone from fluted to ripple to smooth coulters.

About 10 yrs. ago I added Martin floating row cleaners to my planter. I like them OK, but if I had to choose one or the other, I would choose coulters.

I don't have any trouble getting the planter to penetrate with the coulters. Some of you guys must be farming concrete if coulters are keeping you out of the ground.

I know all the experts say you don't need coulters, just row cleaners, but they usually have some row cleaners sitting around that they want to sell you, so I just go by my own experience, here.
