| I have a friend who nearly qualified to be in a pro tournament several times. Literally one stroke away.
Another friend was his caddy on a very hot, humid day, and he nearly had a heat stroke, and he was in really good physical shape.
Those huge golf bags are heavy and they don't get to use golf carts. ( Except for that one disabled guy.) Fatigue is a big factor in real golf.
A caddy will usually scout the course, offer advice, and chase the ball, etc. and sometimes the pro just wants them to carry the clubs and do nothing else.
Getting a big paycheck is the hope of all of them, and some pro golfers use the same caddy every time as a partnership. | |
