Floyd County, Iowa | Went through some of that with my Dad before he passed away.
One night at 10:30 the phone rang. It was Dad. Scared the heck out of me when he called me after 7pm. He asked me in a cheery voice "what are you up to"? I told him I was sleeping. He asked me why I was sleeping, as I'm not into sleeping past 6am or naps (back then, anyway).
I asked him what time it was. He told me 10:30. I said, yes, but it's 10:30 PM, and he didn't believe me. I asked him to look out the window. Silence.
Funny, but sad at the same time. | |
