Amherst WI | I don’t hunt any more but my dad gave me some venison from the deer he shot this last year.
I have made it two ways so far.
In a crock pot with onions, beef broth and then made that into a gravy to put over potatoes.
The second time I marinated it in teriyaki sauce for 3 days and then grilled it.
Both times the gamey flavor came through. It almost smells like what a goat smells like when they pee in their faces.
This was an older deer, I’m just wondering if there is any way to fix this? I have a bunch of sausage coming too and I hope that isn’t bad because usually that’s very good. | |
