Subject: RE: planter hitch extension

Kingston,Mi
I am not sure how much of the installation is Rawson and how much is "Farm Show Blacksmith". I will be building a new planter using some of the existing parts from this planter this coming winter and some parts that are on this planter will be surplus, just don't know how many or which ones. New frame is a straight 8 row with a folding tongue that will be cut down to a 6 row width.
Edit: photo 122 is end view, additional tool bar is 3 by 6 as are the arms that support it. There is 47 inches between the JD frame and the inside of the Rawson tool bar. The support frames lay on top of the original 2 by 2 John Deere frame member. The inter end of the Rawson tool bar is attached to a set of plates welded to the original tongue. Without using the cylinder on the tongue, there is only about 1 to 2 inches of clearance between the coulter and the pavement when the planter is fully raised. Cylinder was replaced because my quick hitch was hitting it and it was snagging the hoses.
