missouri | have a bbi endurance litter spreader (34 inch chain) and for lime for 2 ton i set the gate at 7-8 inches and slow the chain down just slightly from 2 ton of litter rate. about how i set the chain for 1.5 ton of manure. leave the spinners wide open and get about 30-32 foot spread on dry lime. even with the 7-8 inch gate sitting it still keeps quite a bit of lime piled up at the back of the spreader. i built an inverted v for ours. full of litter ours will only hold 10 ton of litter and the pressure gauge runs about 850-950 on chain pressure with litter and about the same with 10 ton of lime. maybe up to 1000 at start up on lime. Thats with the v in it though.
