Auxvasse, MO | I planted a few acres of DC corn just to try it and it worked some what for grain. Planted a 110 day variety, it grew well, had good rain fall that summer, it didn't make black layer by the time it frosted , I had to wait till the kernel froze on the cob to harvest, and it made around 80 bu . Fed it to my cattle that winter. think about plant height when picking a hybrid short season corn doesn't get very tall. | |
