I’ll add that you don’t need a high dollar unit to have good results. Decent units are out there for under $100. Do not try to measure resistance on a circuit or component that has current applied to it. At the least you will blow a fuse internal to the meter, at worst it will be damaged. If in doubt, check for voltage first then do your resistance test.
