FWIW, soybeans closed today about 1% below their uptrending 100 day linear trend. If linear trend is intrinsic value, then soybeans are trading 1% below their intrinsic value.
As always, past performance is no guarantee of future performance. However; 100 day linear regression suggests US soybeans are currently on sale at 1% discount.
Compared to 5 or 6 years ago, they are selling at a very large discount. Of course, all farm commodities are "on sale", while the price of farm inputs continue to rise with no end in sight. The USDA's commitment to an affordable food supply has never worked better. End users never had it so good.
