Iron fillings are not good new....As much as you hate to take it apart RIGHT NW m that is the right thing to do. Its not that bad of a job. I reccomend takeing it apart "now" because they dont hold much oil and can run dry in short order.The leaks and iron fillings are telling you things inside are worn out and starting to fall apart inside.The sooner you get new bearings and parts inside, the more original parts can be saved and the more money you will save. Those front end parts are terribly expensive.You would sure ahte to buy the whole darn thing due to ONE bad bearing!
