2006 is the year to have. Look at the transfer case and make sure it't not wet from oil. Search for "duramax pump rub". Transmission cooler lines are known to leak. Pretty small potato stuff though as far as diesels go. Got my 06 at 148k, pushing 190k now. Just rebuilt the front end, shocks, and broke a shifter cable but that's it.
