IA 60 foot planter at speed does around 35 acre/hour flat out. Say a 5 gal starter rate per acre is 175 gal/hour or 2.91 gal/minute. Some of the bigger 12v pumps could do that. Most 12v pumps are rated in gallons per minute at zero psi. At say 20-30 psi the flow will drop off so plan accordingly. Most of the shurflo pumps have flow charts with them that tell you the gallons per minute at various pressures.

We set up a in furrow and a 2x0 system on our 1770 using electric pumps. We just run from the pump to redballs to the row units. The orifices are mounted at the top of the parallel arms. There just little nozzle strainer at up with push connects. You shouldn't need a 1"manifold. That's more for high rate work. the only suggestion I have is make sure your lines from your flow minders to your orifices are the same length. Helps keep the rate even across the bar.
