Semi arid?? That's an understatement! Don't hear any talk on Quinoa. I wouldn't even know what that is if it weren't for this site. I remember looking at that a couple of years ago and I believe I agree with you. I'm on an advisory board with the local CSU research station and we've got a meeting on the 25th of this month scheduled. Think I'll bring up Quinoa and see if I get laughed out of the place.
I can walk into wal-mart and buy any of half a dozen different assortments of quinoa. That's got to be a big enough market to support a few acres and a mill. As far as I know, it's all imported at this point.
