Another thing I like about them on my 1688 is that they are so much lighter because they are only half as wide each. Local JD dealer was converting a bunch because they were safer for their techs to work on because of the reduced weight.
There are now new factory replacements from CIH for your 1688 that are half-width. (so would be six sections instead of the current 3.) Its what the new 51-61-7140s (or 50s? I can't even keep track of the numbers) come with now. |
