Good read Mike, I wish they would do more research on gypsum and it’s ability to tie up P so it doesn’t leave. Ed Winkle has a good post on here about it and Joe at NesterAg (I think it is) also had one as well.

With that being said I think grassed waterways help and with the way farming is right now nobody wants to take any acreage out of the equation. I have a grassed waterway and plan to split shot my N and do VRT soil sampling this year. I use covers when I can as well. Is it enough to make a difference? I don’t know.

I am very interested to see what the study shows on vertical till and P runoff.
