I'd start with the alternator. Disconnect the large battery terminal and put a multimeter in between in series set to amps. If it reads anything above 0 from the battery line to the alternator replace the alternator.
Alternator would be my first place to look as well.
Second would be to make sure a relay isn’t hanging or stuck in the ‘on’ state. Dad had that happen on his older Ford pickup. That one was easy cause it powered the fuel pump and you could hear it.
