Subject: 544J Deere Payloader, alternate fuel pump?

David Loberg Northeast Nebraska
We have a 544J payloader that feed with, gets about 3 hrs a day on minimum, and we keep going through the block mounted paddle driven fuel pumps. We replace it about once/twice a year. They are cheap things that are pressed together, leak out of the seals etc. They just seem to wear out internally. Has anyone found a replacement other than the factory Deere style? I'd like to leave it mechanical, but if can't find any other options will have to put a block off plate on the block and put an electric pump in, I have a 24/12 converter in the loader already.
