Subject: RE: Bale wrappers

Texas

My first wrapper was a Kervneland (sp?) that wrapped individual square bales.

  • It was a big pain to wrap because the thing used lots of wrap.
  • It required me to look backwards for hours, and was very, very slow.
  • The bales didn't keep as well and the corners caused a lot of plastic to tear.
  • I had to use a bale squeeze to move them from the field and stack them.
  • The crop stubble would sometimes poke holes in the bottom when the machine dropped it on the ground.
  • When I stacked them more than two high the bales would fall over after they had cured and cooled down.
  • Feeding was a lot more difficult and required a lot more labor to dispose of all the wrap.

Wrapping with the inline solved all of those problems.
