The wireless remotes on ebay that I have used are changeable from momentary to maintained. Some have a third function to use different buttons for start and stop. As opposed to push button to start and push same button to stop.
The 12 volt 30 - 40 amp automotive relays are about $2. May as well use one. Even if relay on remote says good to 30 amps. Amps really go up when volts go down.

There are some different frequencies that the small remotes work on. But pretty generic. As long as it is not a smart system that rolls codes each time used. Think garage doors for antitheft. Read if remote is 315 mhz or 433 mhz. Probably more that I don't know about. Then, do the learn button thing. Like a remote to turn on and off spray boom sections from walking along to check nozzle patterns.
