From what I've seen every water brand has its flaws. We've got pretty much all Ritchie's and we get along alright. The best thing you can do is select a good location for it and install it properly. Not always possible but if they're located out of the wind you're already ahead of the game. The tile or thermal tube (if you're looking to spend that much) that comes up around the line can make a difference too, the wider the better as far as allowing heat from the ground to rise up into the water and also to prevent frost bridging and freezing of the line.

Not sure how many head "a few" is but we've got 30-40 head drinking off all the Omni-1's that we have.
