I agree on wider doors being better.
I do not understand why your vehicles require mirros to be folded in to go thru a 9’ wide door....max legal width is 8.5’. I have never seen a pickup, car, or SUV that is anywhere close to being even 8’ wide to the outside of the mirrors.
Because the door is behind the opening, and one you add trim and the weather seal the opening gets smaller still.
