North Central Illinois | It depends on how you are going to use it. Like most others on here it sounds like you intend to use it as a shed. I would go no less than 8’ tall and 10’ wide. When we built our house I intentionally made the garage only big enough for two vehicles very comfortably. 26’x26’ with 7’ tall by 10’ doors. I didn’t want tools, mowers, ATVs, and accumulated junk sitting around. I have other buildings to store that stuff. It’s worked out great. There is enough room to open all doors on my truck and wife’s SUV without hitting the other vehicle or the wall. There is plenty of room to walk in front of and behind the vehicles. There is nothing on the floor but two garbage cans and a beer fridge. Very little hanging on the walls either. This is exactly how I wanted it. No clutter! 7’ by 10’ doors work just fine for a 3/4 ton pickup. | |
