Subject: RE: Concrete for grain bin?

Pontiac, IL.
Make SURE you use a lazer/ level to check the outside form. Not just a carpenters level. Make SURE the outside is level. Usually the center of the concrete is 1" higher than the outside edge. Did I mention: MAKE SURE the outside is LEVEL. Not a bin, but I ended up tearing out my garage floor on my new house, (30 years ago), because the crew that poured it used a carpenters level for the concrete under the garage doors and it was not level. I was in charge the second time it was poured, had plenty of help, and checked the level with a lazer while we were pouring.
