We ran lots of feet of 6-gage wire around when we redid old wiring at the bins this year, on the original idea that we could run 10HP 240v single phase today, and go to 15hp 240V 3-phase later (converter). I think you can run more power than that because you get the 1.732 power factor.

So I’m with you. That 6-gage stuff can be tough to bend sometimes. There are some tools to help bend big wire in tight spaces, though, but they fill a 1” conduit plenty good and I can’t imagine trying to run them in what I assume is a 3/4” conduit?

Can you get a 2-gang box for the outlet with enough room to move wires inside?
