South cental Ohio
Have an older 30 foot 6432 and pull it with a worn out JD 8970. 7 to 9 mph if your only going 3 or 4 inches deep...… 6 to 8 mph if your really digging in the dirt. Mph varies with the soil and the contour. I like the baskets behind the disc because they help to keep the ground level by not letting the disc throw the dirt out/in so far. They do eat bearings occasionally but then they are constantly in the dirt. Built heavy and they aren't a bad tool. We usually pull it over the ground and then finish with a field cultivator. Not saying that you couldn't plant behind a finisher because we have before.... but we just like to plant behind a cultivator. Ours has a 5 bar harrow on back...….does decent but not perfect.
