Palestine, IL 62451 | Generally you want to get as high up on the roof to take advantage of wind from all directions to create a draft, so I would leave the exit as is if not causing problems. Need to make it a straight line as much as possible from exit of wall to exit of roof. I would look into a different chimney type if the current one is causing that much problems. I suspect much of the problem is cause because pipe is not in use much of the time, therefore not warm which would help disipate some of the water/snow before it made it down the pipe very far. |
