Subject: RE: farm machinery auctioneer

Alton, Ia
Mike Peterson from Watseka is a family friend and a good guy. Not sure how he stands on internet stuff now. If you're not near him, I would get a local, reputable gang to do it. For farm machinery, I'm not sure the online bidding is all that advantageous. We had a local auction last Saturday, not a real high amount of stuff, but several good items. They simulcast maybe 100 items, three of them sold online. Proxibid etc. is handy for comparison shopping, but if the item is important, and high dollar, I think most guys will attend personally and save the 2.5%/$750 fee, and be able to closely examine it before bidding.
