I'm rebuilding a very not NAT approved engine (Waukesha 310T). I have a Reliance kit and the instructions make no mention of which o-ring (red or black) goes on top. I think, from other stuff I have read, that the red one is on top, but I thought I'd run it by the mechanics on here. I plan on lubricating them with JD liner soap. I had the engine balanced and I am going to build a deeper oil pan for it as well. As far as breaking it in, what is everyone's preference? I have a 4-bottom Oliver plow that I could pull with this 1855, and I was thinking of using that to work it out. Should I use JD break in oil, or just regular engine oil. Thanks, Matthew-ECWI
P.S. This is my first engine rebuild. I'm working on it with 2 of my friends, and between the 3 of us, we are pretty sure we can get it back together right. It isn't a very complicated engine.

I guess I would call Reliance and ask them
