Subject: RE: 7100 Planter questions

southern MN
7100 is a light planter for notill. Many use the insecticide boxes for weight - fill with sand. Or to carry some tools and parts.....

Check that you have room for Coulter’s/ row cleaners on a mounted 7100.

The seed meters on a 7000 / 7100 work well and need no air. They are a finger pickup. As the meter spins some fingers open and close to capture a seed and drop it down the seed tube.

Lots of parts and adaptations to the 7000/ 7100 planters, Shoup and others. Same as an older model Kimberly as well. Lots of parts.

Our climates are so different I won’t guess as to what works in your dirt compared to mine.

Paul
