Subject: RE: Buying a tractor that's been on mixer/grinder

I rented one when the darn 9000 Ford went down. We couldn't get it to pull. It had been on a tub grinder for 2 weeks. The air filter was so plugged we had to get a chain around it and pull it out with another tractor. We constantly changed fuel filters. The dry hay dust was constantly plugging them. The dealer finally pulled both tanks and steamed them out along with flushing all fuel lines. Then supplied us with a dozen new 10 micron fuel filters. They tried to get us to buy it. Never did. Went to an Allis instead.
