Subject: RE: Iveco cursor 10 engine oil pump torque

north central Ohio
Well I can't find them in the engine manual but I do have a table in the combine service workshop manual. I just wish they would put the torque on there written out clearly with the step to take any second guessing out of it. I am sure what they have written there is way to tight for the oil pump bolts but could be confused to use that torque on those bolts also. The gear bolts had a final torque of about 80ft/lbs after the 90degrees which seemed about right. On another note why is everything angle torqued on these engines? When torquing the head after the second angle I had final torque values anywhere from 250 or so to a little over 300. First time I have ever had on Iveco tore apart and just don't understand it all. Like why can't they machine a crank well enough to use all one bearing? Everybody talks how well made they are but kind of makes you wonder if that is really the case. TIA
