Subject: Electric control for Hyd. auger pics

Central Illinois
Brought this up front for Von and others. My home-made power pack has a Starter/Generator for electric start so it has 12VDC available. Tee's are installed in the hydraulic lines right behind the remote couplers. I have a Normally Open Solenoid valve and a ball valve in series between the tee's. This allows the hydraulic flow to bypass the motor till the solenoid is energized. The manual ball valve allows me run the auger continuously for clean out . Made the spout handle out of tubing and strap iron. A panel mount push button starter switch fits in the tubing and the small spring loaded lever will allow continuous use but is easy to disengage just by bumping it. Wired the talc applicator in parallel with the solenoid valve so they run together. The toggle switch was added at the applicator to shut it off when not needed. I know it is not fancy but has had thousands of bushels through it with no problems.
