When you say "size residue", are you referring to corn stalks?

We run a 724 soil finisher, and in bean stubble we get away with one pass, but in corn stalks we're still having to run a disc first, so I don't think you would gain anything, plus as mentioned before they take a bit more horsepower to pull, so you would need to go smaller than your cultivator.
