Deep southern Illinois
Use mine in the same applications as a cutoff wheel, other than metal, where more precision is required or less smoke is desired. Works awesome to cut old stuff hoses off of plastic fittings without ruining fitting. Success with metal is hit-and-miss. The dewalt attachments are $20+ at Lowes, so ruining a metal blade only happened once here. We installed foam board insulation on an area of the shop, and it was awesome for making cuts/notches etc. for a tight fit. Also is great for trying to make square interior plywood cuts where you’d need to over cut with a skill saw to cut all the way through the piece. Can make a perfect corner with the multi tool. I originally bought mine to trim off excess expanding foam for a home project, and came to like the tool. Also makes fixing screwed up doors in older houses somewhat less painful lol.
