Subject: what do you use a multi-tool for in a farm shop?

nc ks
We were going to get a couple old bins refurbished for fall harvest and I got a Dewalt 20v multi-tool because I thought it would work well for cleaning up the old tar around the outside in preparation for re-sealing around the bin bottom. Well, we didn't get to that project and I have looked at that thing hanging with the rest of the cordless tools ever since and never used it. The other day my son was trying to cut a bolt in an impossible place that was next to a gas tank so I told him to try that thing with a saw attachment. He said it didn't work. I assume the bolt was moving back and forth with the blade and not cutting.

Have some of you found a good fit for these tools in a farm shop or are they more of a wood working tool?
