Right but your driving habits probably changed. Your not going to do the same work in the same time with less power and same amount of fuel. We see this when we go snowmobiling and the gasser can't keep up to the diesel AND burns 50% more fuel.
Nothing wrong with going slower. And yea the diesel option is absolutely stupidly priced... which is why I suggest keeping the diesel until the body falls off.
Buddy had a 6.4 gas dodge, tows skiddy daily. Half the mileage of his new diesel.
We just got back from Wyoming. Took a friend's 15 6.7 ford. Averaged 9mpg. When I pull same trailer at same speeds with my 8.1 gasser I get 6. You honestly get 12 mpg pulling? |
