That does look good. I never caught the fishing or hunting bug, gone a few times just to be with friends.

I think 92 was the all time wet summer here, I didn’t get 1/4 of the farm planted. Went with corn until June 9th and beans until July 3rd (it downpoured that evening, I woulda tried another 5-6 days but it washed out that evening) and just couldn’t plant.

The past 3 years have just been constant rainfalls, it dries out enough to get some work done, but not enough to grow a good crop or tend it timely. I’m old school and do a little hay and a little small grains and so forth, it’s just a struggle to keep up.

My farm is suited for a drought anyhow.

It will be interesting to see if my lack of fall tillage will allow the fields to thaw out and soak away sooner because of the insulation of the cornstalks, or if they won’t dry out until June from all the snow trapped. The odds are not in my favor but it can go either way and I’d luck out in the right conditions.
