How can you afford to feed a 1600# cow? Like cowsncrops said below about his cows, our smaller cows always seem to more efficient then big ones
Those are the ones that get sorted off and sold if they lose their calf. They get obese in a hurry when dry. Wet cows probably weigh 1300-1400 which is still plenty big.
