| I know what you mean. Working while going to 2 years of trade school it isnt that hard to have 40k in the bank at age 23. Compare that to someone just graduating with a 4 year degree and 40k+ in debt. Then getting married, having kids, new car, new house. Gets very difficult to make up that 80k even with the 4 year degree. I always tell myself that wages arent based on education, or how "important" a job is; they are based on difficult it is to get someone to do it. Athletes and actors make way more than the President, they have rare skills. Its also why more and more labor jobs like carpenters and brick layers are paying some pretty good wages. | |
