Sanilac Co. Michigan | You might think it's a great idea and you might have convinced yourself to do it, but I would suggest a better approach.
Instead, drill that aperture out as much as possible, leaving a fairly fine ring. You can even do it in stages, increasing the hole size till your happy with the sight picture in low light levels.
I think you might be happier with that sight picture than you will be with a gouged out , half baked aperture turned vee rear sight.
