Hardin County, IA | I have been no tilling beans for years now and am going to slowly work towards some no till corn with some cover crops thrown in the mix. Right now my planter is stock and I have no till coulters that I use for beans and Yetter Sharktooth row cleaners I use to move trash when planting corn behind the field cultivator. The planter is a Kinze 12/23 FWIW. Wondering what add-ons you have seen by benificial in your experiences? Right now I am thinking of adding a more aggressive closing wheel, looking at Schaffert Mowhawk. Also considering air adjust row cleaners to adjust for changing conditions in the no till. Any thoughts or opinions?
