Winkler, Manitoba Canada
Our experience with Wave Vision sensors is somewhat different than the earlier posters.

We purchased some used sensors to use with our 20/20 on a 8000 series White planter in the hope that they would more accurately reflect actual population counts with edible beans than the high rate sensors that we were using.

A few observations.
1) Wave Vision sensors require the row unit to be dismantled on this planter in order to remove the original seed tube holder and install new holder.
2) 4 out of 13 Wave Vision sensors landed up being faulty and were never used. This maybe as a result of the 20/20 trying to do firmware updates. We will never really know.
3) After purchasing new sensors locally and getting to the field, another one failed. At that point I just reused one of the removed high rate sensors. I could tell no difference in the monitoring capability.
4) Despite being offered a refund from the vendor on the faulty units, we never received one.

In theory, the Wave Vision sensors should offer more reliable and superior monitoring. We have experienced neither.
