I take the cost of your Tractor and planter and any other machine you have to use. Take that value times 1 tenth of one percent of the value for Machine hourly rate. So a $70, 000.00 Combine is 70 dollars per hour plus operator wage. If you have to haul and load the corn seed, leave the key on on your tractor so you will get paid to do that filling and hauling or if they have the seed there for you and load you fast, Your rate per acre will be much less than if you have to do all the loading and hauling. I am thinking with my 8520 Tractor and Air seeder 39 foot Morris, I have 190,000.oo in tractor and $40, 000.00 in my Air seeder so I need to get $230 plus wage of $35.00 plus the fuel must be furnished. So the Tractor uses about 7 Gallons per hour so that is $21 for fuel =$230 +$35= $265 with fuel furnished.
I can seed about 5,5 miles per our so 5280 times 5.5= 29040 times 39= 1132560 divided by 43560= 26 acres per hour average
$265 divided by 26 acres per hour= $10.20 per acre if all goes smooth
You also have to get about $130.00 per hour for time spent in Transport so that keeps the ones you plant for, on their toes to keep you seeding or planting
