you will have problems doing that they use resistors in the switch box to sense the switches. If you are trying to use the factory switches you would be better off with the 4000527-5 cable this has the resistors built in. If you don't have the resistors the switch will be delayed turning on. Most of the diagrams you will get will not have the resistors on them.
