Subject: Grain blowers/Pneumatic handling systems tips

Saskatchewan
Lets talk grain blowers/pneumatic grain handling systems. I would be using it for small grains only, mostly barley, oats and canola. What brand do you prefer. Is the walinga style where they slow the blower down/speed up with a vfd drive to keep from damaging grain better then the DMC/GSI where they have an automatic throttle of the air to prevent grain damage. Is there any brands to stay away from. Any other tips to know when setting up a system. They way our bin yard is set up a leg is not an option.

The only thing that concerns me is the octopus set up of pipes every which way. Are these in line air valves such as in the pic a good option to reduce the piping clutter by just having it all on one pipe over top of the bins. Would it be possible to move the valve to the side so a person could still use the lid and auger.
