Subject: RE: 12.5 horse electric motor, bin unloader

What size bins & unloads? We run 10" unloads / powersweeps on our 42' bins. We have a 1ph 16 hp motor on a 10" wet bin auger that feeds our Top Dry, IIRC, motor runs @ 57amp under load. Auger does start empty so that helps on start up. Also have several 1ph 15 hp fan motors. We have the largest 1ph transformer that our power company offers, 167 kw. Wish we would have installed 3ph several years ago when it was affordable. Power company wants $20,000 to run 200' of underground wiring & transformer.
