Cow Calf producers pay on every head sold and feeders pay it and eery import is supposed to pay it but I think there is a lot they hide and USDA probably doesn't likely get a dollar a head for the fresh meat from other countries. I think checkoff could help us but it needs to be managed to tell real truth and spend money on Professors who promote beef and new ideas with beef.
