NWMO
If the GREED at Monsanto would not have pushed RR in all crops 20 years ago? We had both products come to market at or around the same time? We would not be talking about weed resistance to Roundup today. Poor choices for manufactures and farmers. Roundup made poor farmer.... great farmers overnight. There used to be knowledge and strategy to having clean fields, and guys that made good decisions had clean fields. Now we have resistance every where and stacked traits in corn that will soon make it impossible to get rid of volunteer corn. Newest stacks will be tolerant/resistant to several grass herbicides? (Anybody no which ones? I do.) Absolutely this makes no reasonable sense to have this. Then now we have the GREED Dicamba debacle that is pushing more bad ideas. Enlist 5-6 way stacks? This problem started 20 years ago by one company and most all the other sheep fallowed. Thank good for Harry Stine....! But soon liberty will be on chopping block too if we don't stop following and start leading, demanding, this to stop. But to answer your question any rotation is a good thing. And never forget that pre herbicides are the best thing you can do for resistance. We raise RR, LL, & Conventional Beans and I guarantee you drive by any of our fields and you will not be able to tell a difference. It's all in education and management practices....
