If you are going to just ride trails with the wife. Go with a 4 stroke touring model. Will be the most comfortable sled with the least problems. If you are going to tour around from place to place doing overnight trips, you don’t have to worry about carrying 2 stroke oil with you. Can’t go wrong with a Ski-doo model, us Canadians know how to build them! But if it were me, go with an Arctic Cat, they are by far the nicest, hottest sleds on snow, by the way they are the same as a Yamaha. Arctic Cat builds the chassis for Yamaha and Yamaha builds the 4 stroke engines for Arctic Cat. Clutches are different but that’s about all. They are not as heavy as some say, specially on a groomed trail, they handle very well and are very easy to maneuver. If you are going off trail, then go with a 800 2stroke. Avoid a 850 Polaris, unless you like having motor issues. Wait until fall and buy a left over 2019, you will save some money too!
