Store ammo in a dry, cool place. I've always had good luck with bulk ammo cans (army surplus or the newer plastic boxes with rubber gaskets). I have a friend who vacuum packs all his ammo like food.
I have a friend who keeps his ammo in 50 cal. Ammo cans puts in a hand warmer in to tie up the oxygen.
